This page explains how to delete your Beaconry account, what deletion removes, and what we keep and why.
How to delete your account
If you can sign in, go to your Account page and use the Delete Account option in the Danger Zone. You will be asked to confirm before anything is removed.
If you are locked out of your account, email privacy@beaconry.co from the address on the account and we will action the deletion for you. Losing access does not affect your right to have your account erased.
What deletion removes
Deleting your account removes:
- Your account, including all sign-in identities, such as your Cognito login.
- The price-alert beacons you have set.
- Your notification history and delivery records.
- Saved devices and push notification tokens.
- Your notification preferences.
- Any waitlist entry associated with your account.
What we retain, and why
Your click history is not deleted. Instead, it is de-linked from you: the record is pseudonymised so it can no longer identify you. We keep it only as a financial record of affiliate commission earned through your clicks, and each retained row expires after around 13 months (395 days).
Timing and irreversibility
Account deletion is irreversible. Your account and sign-in identities are removed immediately. The remaining data covered above is erased shortly afterwards.
