These terms govern your use of Beaconry, a price tracking and comparison service for model railway and tabletop wargaming hobbyists, provided by Chief Solutions Limited, trading as GuzzlerLabs (the "Company", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using the Beaconry website or mobile app, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

What Beaconry does

Beaconry gathers product prices and availability from third-party retailers and presents them so you can compare them and set price alerts. We are not the seller: any purchase you make is a contract between you and the retailer, on that retailer's own terms.

Prices and availability come from external sources and can change or be out of date. We work to keep them accurate but we cannot guarantee it, and the price you see on Beaconry may differ from the retailer's price at checkout. Always confirm the final price on the retailer's own site before buying.

Your account

Beaconry is intended for adult hobbyists. You are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for activity that happens under your account. Please give accurate information when you register and keep it up to date. You can delete your account at any time from within the app.

Subscriptions and billing

Beaconry offers a free tier and paid subscription tiers with additional features. Paid subscriptions are bought through the Apple App Store or Google Play, and billing, renewal, free trials, and cancellation are handled by Apple or Google under their terms. The current price and what each tier includes are shown at the point of purchase in the app. A subscription renews automatically until you cancel it through the relevant app store.

Retailer links and affiliate commission

Some links to retailers are affiliate links, which means we may earn a commission if you buy after tapping through. This does not change the price you pay, and it does not affect how we rank or display prices, which are ordered by price.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

Use the service for any unlawful purpose or in breach of these terms.
Scrape, copy, resell, or systematically extract data from Beaconry, or use it to build a competing product.
Attempt to disrupt, reverse engineer, or gain unauthorised access to the service or its infrastructure.
Misuse the service in a way that harms other users, retailers, or us.

Intellectual property

Beaconry, its name, design, and the software behind it belong to us or our licensors. Product names, images, and trademarks shown in listings belong to their respective owners. You may use the service for your own personal, non-commercial price comparison only.

Service availability

We aim to keep Beaconry running smoothly but we may change, suspend, or withdraw features, or the whole service, at any time. We are not liable for any interruption to the service.

Disclaimers

The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not warrant that the price and availability information is accurate, complete, or current, or that the service will be uninterrupted or error free.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss arising from your reliance on price or availability information, from any transaction between you and a retailer, or from your use of or inability to use the service. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law. [Specific liability caps to be confirmed by legal.]

Termination

You can stop using Beaconry and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close your account if you breach these terms or misuse the service.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will change the date at the top of this page and, where the change is significant, tell you through the service. Continuing to use Beaconry after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them. This does not affect any statutory consumer rights you have under the law of the country where you live.
